Tourists’ accommodation tariffs to be cut by 20 pct, in 2010

In 2010 we will see a 10-20 percent cut in tourists’ accommodation tariffs compared to 2009, a first in the past 20 years, president of the Tourism Employers’ Federation Adrian Vasilescu told.

The Tourism Employers’ Federation, Investors Association in Venus Resort, Black Sea Hotel Industry Federation, Costinesti-based Tourism Employers’ Association „Parthenopolis” and Paradiso Hotel took part in the Seaside 2009 travel industry exchange in the period Sept. 14-16.

Contracts between the tourist services providers from the southern seaside resorts were negotiated on this occasion with the travel agencies selling vacations countrywide, to be concluded for 2010 summer season.

The concluded contracts at the current exchanges’ edition stipulate a better use of the accommodation capacities in the zone, enhancing the number of tourists who are to visit the seaside in 2010.

As many as 70 hotels and boarding houses in Eforie North, Techirghiol, Eforie South, Costinesti, Olimp, Neptun, Jupiter, Cap Aurora, Venus, Saturn, Mangalia, 2 Mai and Vama Veche took part in this event.

The Tourism Employers’ Federation decided to continue the „Early booking” programme in 20 10. The programme also brings cuts of up to 20 percent, meaning that in certain periods and under certain conditions the seaside bought vacations could be cheaper next year by as much as 30 percent.
