ForMin Diaconescu meets his New Zealand counterpart, at UN General Assembly

The Romanian Foreign Affairs minister Cristian Diaconescu met on Tuesday his counterpart from New Zealand Murray McCully, at the United Nations General Assembly’s session, a release from the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Bucharest informs.

The two dignitaries expressed the interest of the two countries for the development of bilateral cooperation on common interest issues.
The meeting emphasized in particular the need to give an impulse to the political and economic relationships between the two countries in the general context of sharing some common values and in the concrete plan of the excellent cooperation in areas of strategic significance for the global security, such as Afghanistan.
The Romanian Foreign Affairs minister is participating from 22 to 25 September in New York in the 64th session of the UN General Assembly.
