A special attention will be given to the inter-disciplinary character of the works and projects, as well as to the way of approaching the acute issues of the communication sciences and public relations.
Among the issues to be presented in the reunion will be the corporate reputation and the social consequences, the businesses and investments milieu in education and research, the impact of the public relations in supporting the businesses’ competitiveness, the public relations in the transition and post-transition societies, the functions of the new media in the corporate public relations.
At the same time, within the congress round tables and workshops on various issues will be organised.
The Bucharest University spokesperson, Aurel Ghimpu, said that several reputed personalities of communication are expected to participate in the reunion, among whom professor Dennis L. Wilcox, to whom the Bucharest University, which happens to be the host of this event, will grant the DHC title for exceptional contributions to the development of the public relations’ tuition.
Dennis L. Wilcox is emeritus professor of Public Relations with the Journalism and Communication School of the San Jose State University of California, USA.
The European Association of Research and Education in Public Relations (EUPRERA) was established in 2000 and aims at stimulating and promoting the innovation, both at the level of the theoretical knowledge and through the practices of developing the applied public relations’ research and education, at European level. The associations members are professors and scientists in public relations and organisational communication.
