The head of the Romanian diplomacy assured Treki of Romania’s unconditioned support in helping with the very difficult portfolio ahead of him, referring especially to the continuation of the UN institutional and managerial reforms. This is a priority objective of both the UN and the EU.
Diaconescu also referred to the regional expertise that should be better capitalized in the reform process, especially through the development of the UN cooperation with the regional organizations.
Treki referred in his turn to the special relation developed during the years between Romania and Libya. In this context, there were approached such aspects related to the regional and global energy policies, as well as the effects of the economic and financial crisis.
