The Georgian official voiced interest in the deepening of cooperation between the institution he heads and Romania’s Court of Account based on a document to this end, to be signed in the upcoming period. Levan Bezhashvili remarked that the Romanian side has a valuable expertise in the field of the institutional reform process of the Court of Accounts and his institutions would like to benefit of it.
Doru Costea reiterated Romania’s readiness to further assist Georgia in the internal reform process, both within the policy of assistance for development and through the transfer of technical expertise.
The two dignitaries agreed that the potential offered by bilateral cooperation opportunities must be valued, primarily in the commercial – economic and education fields.
Chairman of Georgia’s Court of Accounts Levan Bezhashvili has paid a visit to Romania, in the period Sept. 21 through 24, at the invitation of the Chairman of Romania’s Court of Account Nicolae Vacaroiu. The programme of this visit also included meetings with the Senate’s Chairman, Mircea Geoana and with the Court of Accounts Chairman, Nicolae Vacaroiu.
Levan Beshashvili holds the office of Chairman of Georgia’s Court of Accounts since July 15, 2008.
