Boc sends to Cotroceni proposal for revocation of Nica: Blaga interim minister
Emil Boc mentioned that he also sent the proposal of interim minister at the head of the Ministry of Administration and Interior, MAI, of Democrat-Liberal Vasile Blaga, minister of Regional Development and Housing, and in these conditions, he would be in a caretaker position until the nomination by the Social Democratic Party, PSD, of a minister filling the official position in the Government of minister of the Interior.
In these conditions, I believe that the partners from PSD have the duty and responsibility to make the nomination they wish and which it to be submitted to the prime minister and that is to be referred to the prime minister. According to the Constitution, the interim lasts for 45 days.
PM Emil Boc announced on Tuesday that he will forward to president Traian Basescu, the proposal of revoking from office vice-premier Dan Nica, minister of Administration and Interior.
The announcement of the head of Government came 24 hours after he asked from the PSD a nomination for this portfolio, which came at the expiry of the deadline.
„I have informed and consulted yesterday (Monday, e.n.) the coalition as regards the proposal of reshuffle from post of the minister of the Interior, Dan Nica.
Also on Monday, according to the protocol for the operation of the coalition and to the Constitution, I asked from the PSD a new name for the position of minister. I required that this be done until today for the position of minister.
I asked that this be done until today for being able to forward to the president of Romania a proposal for a new minister of the Interior,” said Emil Boc, in a statement made at Victoria governmental Palace.
