MAE advises Romanians abroad to go to polls in time

Romanian citizens abroad are advised to go to the ballot box in time, in the first hours in the morning, in order to exert their voting rights.

Given that for the voting abroad supposes the completion of a declaration on own responsibility and of some data on the electoral list and also based on the experience of the first presidential elections round, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) recommends to the Romanian citizens abroad to go to the polls in time, early in the morning, to exert their voting rights.

According to the valid legislation, the voting in the runoff starts abroad at 7:00 a.m., local time and is run till 9:00 p.m., local time, when the polling stations close.
MAE organized 294 polling stations abroad and delivered 600,000 ballot papers.
