Romania’s international reserve totals 31.33 bln euros

Romania’s hard currency reserves totalled 28.737 billion euros on Nov 30, 2009 compared to 28.402 billion euros on Oct 31, the same year, Romania’s Central Bank (BNR) reports on Wednesday.

The hard currency inflows totaled 2.693 billion euros representing the change in the minimal foreign currency reserves made by the crediting institutions, thorough fueling the Public Finance Ministry’s accounts, with money from foreign currency T-bonds issues on the Romanian market included, or revenues earned through the management of the international reserves etc.

The outflows grossed 2.358 billions euros representing the change in the minimal foreign currency reserves made by the crediting institutions, thorough payments of installments and relevant interests due to the state-guaranteed direct foreign public debts, payments by the EU Commission’s account, etc. The gold reserve remained 103.7 tonnes, its value amounting to 2.597 billion euros, given the developments in the international prices.

Romania’s international reserves (hard currency plus gold stood at 31.334 billion euros, on Nov 30. vs. 30.747 billion euros, on Oct 31, 2009. The due payments to the direct foreign public debt or those guaranteed by the Finance Ministry total 76 million euros, in December 2009.
