Polish projects in Arad County, discussed with Polish Ambassador to Romania

The Polish Ambassador to Bucharest Wojciech Zajaczkowski on Friday paid an official visit to the Arad County (north-west of Bucharest), with a view to initiating several joint projects here.

On this occasion, the Polish diplomat had a meeting with Nicolae Iotcu, the chair of the Arad County Council, with the two discussing on the possibilities to develop new joint projects between the Romanian county and various regions in Poland, in the context in which the Arad County and Opole region in Poland, for instance, have been closely cooperating since 2007, and with one of the most important produces of doors in Europe, the Polish company ‘Porta’, having established its headquarters in Arad.

‘The interest shown by the Polish Ambassador, and implicitly Poland, in the Arad County, which is a multicultural County, a fact proven by the excellent relations existing here, honours me. The projects we have been developing together, regardless of the area, proved once again relations between Romania and Poland are one of the best. In the future, we intend also to have an exchange of diplomatic missions between Arad and regions in Poland’ the CJ chair Nicolae Iotcu also said.
