Representative of Romania coopted member of the Moneyval Standing Bureau

The Moneyval Standing Bureau by secret ballot decided at its latest plenary session to coopt a representative of Romania, namely Alexandru Codescu, a specialist with the National Office for Prevention and Control of Money Laundering (Romania’s Financial Intelligence Unit) as a member of its Standing Bureau.

According to a release on Friday of the National Office for Prevention and Control of Money Laundering, a delegation led by Adriana Luminita Popa, the head of this institution, participated in the 31st plenary session of the Moneyval Bureau, a body operating under the Council of Europe, which was focused on prevention and Romania’s Financial Information Unit and terrorist financing.
