Over 5,000 people are vaccinated on Saturday in Bucharest

Over 5,000 people were vaccinated in Bucharest on Saturday, Professor Adrian Streinu-Cercel, MD, Secretary of State with the Ministry of Health, told. The Secretary of State appreciated the fact that the population agreed to come to be vaccinated even now.

He emphasized the fact that an increase in the number of flue cases was expected by the second half of January, after which there would be a decrease, an again an increase in the autumn and winter 2010. The vaccination campaign started in late November, but because there were many controversies fuelled by the press, few patients were vaccinated in the meantime.
