Rompetrol Well Services takeover bid approved

The National Securities Commission (CNVM) approved the mandatory public offer regarding the takeover of SC Rompetrol Well Services Ploiesti, initiated by the Rompetrol Group NV Netherlands, according to the data submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

The offer includes 132,774 million shares, which account for 47.73 percent of the issuer’s share capital. According to BVB, the face value of a share amounts to 0.1 lei and the purchase price is of 0.43 lei per share. The offer takes place over February 3 – 23, 2010, brokered by BRD Groupe Societe Generale SA Bucharest.

The takeover public offer will be carried out through the exclusive use of the market systems on which the shares of SC Rompetrol Well Services Ploiesti are being traded, thus granting unlimited access to the potential sellers (individuals and legal entities). As many as 12,733 transactions with Rompetrol Well Services Ploiesti shares have been performed over the past 52 weeks on BVB’s second category, totaling 20.43 million lei (some 4.9 million euros).
