Bilateral political consultations between Romania and Bahrain

Secretary of State for Global Affairs Doru Costea on Tuesday and Wednesday, in Manama, had bilateral political consultations with Nizar Al Baharna, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The agenda of the talks included subjects that were quite important for the development stage of the Romanian-Bahraini political, economic and sectoral relations as well as an exchange of opinions on subjects of common interest of the international agenda and the regional situation, reads a release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bucharest.

They also approached the stage of the relations between the European Union and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf as well as the role of the two countries in stimulating these relations.

The Romanian official was also received by Ali Saleh bin Al Saleh, chairman of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and had a meeting with Abdul Rahim Naqi, secretary general of the Federation of the Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers of Commerce. The programme of the visit also included a meeting with the representatives of the Romanian community in Bahrain and a visit to the National Centre for Training and Improving Human Resources.
