Ioan Mircea Pascu elected rapporteur of European Parliament socialists for EU¬Moldova relationship

Member of the European Parliament Ioan Mircea Pascu, vice-chairman of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, was elected this week rapporteur of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament’s file on the association agreement between the Republic of Moldova and European Union.

The European deputy will establish the position of his political family with respect to the report under consideration, a press release says. “This appointment represents the materialization of the commitment of the Romanian MEPs belonging to the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament, ie to make sure that the Republic of Moldova remains on the EU radar and that it benefits from all the European Union’s support in order to best cope with the domestic problems and with the EU accession effort,” said Ioan Mircea Pascu when being elected.
