PSD chief Geoana to release ‘Together to the Future’ project

Chief of the opposition Social Democratic Party (PSD) Mircea Geoana has announced he will be releasing a political action project called ‘Together to the Future’ that will be open to all who want to contribute toward a project of the ‘national development party,’ and will do so at the same date with the meeting of the PSD National Executive Committee, that is February 15, when the latest details of the February 20 extraordinary convention of the PSD Congress will be discussed.

‘I have presented and we have advised each other about the political action project to be unveiled to the extraordinary county conventions and the February 20 convention of the Congress. ‘ Together to the Future’ is a project that is still open to contributions and supplementations of all those who want to join me and my team in a robust political project through which the PSD wishes, can and should become the party of national development,’ Geoana said at the end of a meeting with PSD leaders.

Geoana also said he would prefer a future 30-strong team. ‘I said what my preference is from the experience of the past years. I believe in a homogenous team and a National Standing Bureau fully elected by the Congress that will not exceed the current membership size.

Nearly 30 male and female colleagues would be a good solution from my point of view, because that would secure coherence and solidarity to the team, including pledging responsibility after a national election cycles comes to an end,’ said Geoana. He added that his team is 90 percent sketched up, arguing that the office of the first deputy chairman of the PSD would be useful in the future statutes of the party.
