PACE Committee on Environment to meet in Bucharest

The meeting of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) Committee on the Environment, Agriculture and Local and Regional Affairs is due at the Parliament Palace, in Bucharest, on February 18-19, informs release.

During the opening session on Thursday the MEPs are to meet with the officials of the Government, the Parliament and the local authorities of Bucharest to exchange opinions on some issues connected to the protection of the environment, local and regional democracy, agriculture and rural development.

Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi, Environment and Forestry Minister Laszlo Borbely, Tourism and Regional Development Minister Elena Udrea, Bucharest Prefect Mihai-Cristian Atanasoaei and Bucharest General Mayor Sorin Oprescu will deliver speeches on the topics under consideration on behalf of the Government.
