In Brussels the Romanian official will also have bilateral meetings with his Belgian and Israeli counterparts, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE). The agenda of the General Affairs Council includes the questions of the climate changes as well as the presentation and endorsement of the agenda of the March 25-26 European Council during which the heads of state and government will approach the Europe 2020 Strategy for sustainable growth and jobs and the climate changes.
During the Foreign Affairs Council meeting the foreign ministers will approach topical subjects of the European agenda and of major interest for the Union, says MAE. They will also talk about the humanitarian situation in Haiti, especially from the point of view of the answer given by the EU to the crisis generated by the January 12 earthquake, the recent developments in Iran and the post¬election domestic situation in Ukraine.
On the sidelines of the Foreign Affairs Council the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs will have bilateral meetings with his Belgian counterpart Steven Vanackere and his Israeli counterpart Avigdor Liberman. On the sidelines of the Council too they will organize the meetings of the EU-Lebanon Association Council, the EU-Kyrgyzstan Cooperation Council, the Ministerial Dialogue with South Africa and the Ministerial Dialogue with Montenegro.
