The project is funded by the European Union and is aimed at attracting the young people to work in the furniture industry and it consists in the implementation of two initiatives regarding pupils whose ages range between 6 and 14. The first initiative called MobiDecouverte – children designers has been developed in France since 1998 and it is aimed at children with ages between 6 and 11.
The second is named Touchons du Bois – the Wood’s Secrets and it comes from Belgium and is particularly aimed at pupils between 11 and 14, who will be given the opportunity to have also in view the furniture industry as an option for their vocational activity, later, when they are to decide on the next education cycle to attend.
A simplified and practical version of each initiative will be developed in Romania, along with creating a multimedia guide to enable an easier and faster implementation of the initiatives in all the other 26 EU countries.
