Romania spends double for budget employees’ salaries compared to Germany, says Sebastian Vladescu
“In a chart referring to the public sector employees’ efficiency, the most efficient country is Germany, which spends the smallest amount of the total budget revenues on personnel wages, 15.8 percent of the revenues, out of the 43 percent collected revenues, respectively 6.9 percent of the GDP. Romania spends double,” said Vladescu.
Romania ranks seventh in this chart, by collecting 32.8 percent for the GDP, of which 10.2 percent is spent on wages, and 31.9 percent of the expenditures accounts for the public personnel salaries. In Bulgaria, which ranks 21st, 9 percent of the GDP is expenditures with salaries for revenues of 39.1 percent. Salary expenditures in the public sector account for 23 percent.
