Titus Corlatean attending COFAC

The chairman of the Romanian Senate’s Committee for Foreign Policy Titus Corlatean, for three days, starting on Wednesday, is attending the Conference of the presidents of the committees on the foreign affairs of the national parliaments in the EU countries (COFAC).

The Conference takes place in Madrid and is organised by the incumbent Spanish presidency of the European Union. During the talks, Titus Corlatean will mostly approach topics such as the situation of the Republic of Moldova and the strengthening of the ties between this country and the European Union.

‘The Conference’s agenda is articulated around the challenges developing from strengthening the EU’s external action, in accordance with the provisions of the Treaty of Lisbon, on one hand, and from the Spanish chairmanship’s priorities in the field, on the other hand,’ reads the Senate press bureau’s release.
