
Danube flooding code yellow and orange advisories extended throughout June 21
The National Hydrology and Water Management Institute (INHGA) is expecting rises on the Danube flow that will exceed the early warning and flood levels downstream Iron Gates and it has kept in place the code orange warnings issued on June 12 for the Calafat-Zimnicea portions of the Danube, the southern counties of Dolj, Olt and Teleorman, as well as for the Harsova-Braila sector in the south-eastern county of Constanta and the eastern county of Braila.
On June 17, code orange advisories were issued for the Giurgiu-Cernvaoda, south – south¬teast portion. The INHGA also says that code yellow warnings issued on June 12 for the Giurgiu¬Cerbnnavoda and Galatai-Tulcea stay in force. INHGA mentions that it will update the water forecasts to account for the latest developments.
