Yellow Code alert of rain, storms issued for most of Romania
The weather forecasters have issued a fresh Yellow Code alert of heavy showers of rain and hail and also storms for 7 p.m. on Monday till 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
The concerned areas include Banat, in the south-west, Oltenia in the south, western and northern Muntenia (southern Romania) as well as the Southern and Western Carpathians. The forecasters announced that there will be showers of rain, thunderstorms and hailstorms in the above-mentioned areas. Heavy rains will fall, with the downpours to exceed 25-30 litres per square meter in some areas. The atmosphere instability will start Monday afternoon, the National Meteorology Administration said.
