PM Boc: Gov’t offers 5,000 lei to families of people killed by floods
Prime Minister Emil Boc announced on Tuesday that the Executive will support the families of the people killed by the recent floods by granting them 5,000 lei each.
PM Boc, while paying a visit to the village of Patrauti (northeastern Suceava County) on Tuesday said that he ‘will look for all possible means’ in order to financially support the families affected, and the Government is to call on the European Solidarity Fund and the Emergency Fund which is at the Government’s disposal. At the same time, Emil Boc pointed out that he had told the State’s Reserves to provide the flood-stricken persons with staple food and mineral water.
In Suceava County, the floods killed six people, with one person still being reported missing. In Patrauti village, 49 houses were damaged, out of which 13 severely while five houses were swept away by waters.
