The Trusted Brands study, on its 11th European edition, named Romanians’ most trusted brands. When it comes to automobiles, Romanians are choosing the Dacia brand, while for their personal computer, they stick to the same choice in 2011 too, namely the Dell firm.
Orange is the most popular mobile phone operator, Nokia is Romania’s favourite mobile phone and Sony the best camera.
Romanians choose the Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR) to keep their savings and they usually prefer Asirom for their insurance. With respect to holiday packages, the most popular travel agency is Paralela 45.
Petrom remains the top choice in the gas station category.
According to the study conducted by Reader’s Digest magazine, the Romanian customers are more keen to purchase home appliances from Domo retail network, with their favourite home appliance brand being Philips.
Regarding local firms, the respondents opted for Vel Pitar for their bakery products, Danone for dairy products and Cristim for meat products. According to the study, Romanians prefer the Jacobs coffee and to get treated at the Medlife private clinic. Moreover, in most cases, they read the Adevarul daily and listen to the Europa FM radio station.
Reader’s Digest sent over 7,000 letters to poll the public opinion receiving some 1,500 filled letters.Thus, Romania ranks second among the European countries, after Finland, by the number of respondents.
