Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Hryshchenko will be paying an official visit to Bucharest today at the invitation of Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi.
Official talks between the two ministers will focus on the latest developments in and future prospects for bilateral and regional cooperation, on European issues of common interest, particularly on Ukraine’s European prospects, along with other issues such as security, including energy security, the Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE) reports in a press release.
Baconschi will underscore Romania’s’ support for Ukraine’s European path and the liberalisation of the visa regime for its nationals. At the same time, Romania’s readiness to share its experience with EU integration with Ukraine will be reiterated.
The Romanian chief diplomat will also insist on the need for Romania and Ukraine to meet in the consecrated bilateral dialogue formats in the time immediately ahead that include joint intergovernmental boards in the areas of the economy and national minorities.
