Guandong Chinese Company, to negotiate with Romanian party for building reactors 3 and 4 of Cernavoda
EnergoNuclear will negotiate with China Guandong Nuclear Power next week in Cernavoda (southern Romania) for the Chinese company’s involvement in the project for building the reactors 3 and 4 of Cernavoda, Nuclearelectrica General Director Pompiliu Budulan said at the Energy Forum 2011 on Tuesday.
„The Guangdong Company from China is interested in participating in the building works of reactors 3 and 4 of Cernavoda. Next week, the giant company’s representatives will go to Cernavoda to talk with the shareholders of EnergoNuclear – the company developing the project – Arcelor Mittal, Enel and the Romanian state,” Budulan said.
He mentioned that the Romanian authorities would talk with the management of Arcelor Mittal and Enel about their intention of increasing their participation in the project.
„We shall have talks with the shareholders, within the negotiation Committee, in order to see how much they are willing to increase their participation with. In 2011, we shall complete the study showing us the costs of the project and the partners participating in it. The total amount could stand at 4 billion euros, more or less, the figure initially established,” Pompiliu Budulan pointed out.
Nuclearelectrica, Arcelor Mittal and Enel are the companies also interested in this project.
