Patriarch Daniel: We pray for all persecuted Christians, particularly those of the Middle East
The Romanian Orthodox Church (BOR) Patriarch Daniel urged the believers attending the official ceremony welcoming the delegation headed by Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa HB Theodore II, to pray for peace in the Middle East, and for the unity of our Church to get stronger.
„We are praying our Good Lord for our countries and all the Christians who are persecuted worldwide, particularly in the Middle East. We pray our Good Lord to strengthen the unity of our Church, and help us to fulfill the mission Our Savior Jesus Christ trusted to us through the Holy Apostle Mark, the founder of the Church of Alexandria and through the Holy Apostle Andrew the Apostle of the Romanians,” Patriarch Daniel said in the end of the Te Deum service he officiated at the Patriarchal Cathedral.
Patriarch of Alexandria in his turn thanked BOR Patriarch for the exquisite welcome and his love and carefulness.
