Prime Minister Ungureanu wants reorganization of reaction centres in emergency situations under one authority
Prime Minister Mihai Razvan Ungureanu on Friday said that he was taking into account the reorganization of the reaction centres in emergency situations under one authority.
‘I am against the institutional dispersal of the reaction centres in emergency situations and I am seriously considering in their reorganizing under one coordinating authority. The resource and time spending is counterproductive,’ Ungureanu said, at the Administration and Interior Minister mandate take over ceremony by Gabriel Berca.
The Premier said that this was not an easy year, especially in the prospects of elections, for which the Government was ‘risking its credibility.’ ‘We need fair elections, organized in compliance with the law,’ he pointed out.
According to Ungureanu, on the public order component, the Administration and Interior Ministry (MAI) in particular is the institution that, through the dialogue with each citizen, receives the people’s feedback on the outcome of its own activity.
The chief of Government appreciated the honesty and dedication that many of the MAI employees had.
‘I am content that he said [Berca] that he regarded the institution he leads as being the most important of Romania’s Government. I hope that the activity and the results should also be the most important in the Government.
He also said that Gabriel Berca had his entire support and that he was grateful to the former minister Traian Igas for the activity carried out as head of MAI.
