Gov’t allots 56,000 euros humanitarian aid to 4 stranded counties
The Government approved the granting of humanitarian aid to the stranded people from the counties of Braila, Buzau, Calarasi and Vrancea, Minister of Administration and the Interior Gabriel Berca announced after the Executive’s meeting.
Berca said the Government adopted a resolution regarding the allocation of 244,000 lei (about 56,000 euros) to the Braila, Buzau, Calarasi and Vrancea counties, the most affected by the blizzards that hit Romania in the last days.
‘We suggest the granting of humanitarian aid to Braila worth 70,000 lei, to Buzau 35,500 lei, to Calarasi an aid worth 52,000 lei and Vrancea 86,500 lei. These counties have been affected by massive snowfalls and the aid consists in diesel fuel, liver pate, canned pork meat and mineral water,’ Gabriel Berca also said.
‘This is a first aid offered by Romania’s Government to the stranded people and in the coming period, we shall analyze the financial possibilities for all the localities having been affected by the blizzard,’ minister Berca pointed out.
