Romania’s Prime Minister Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu on Monday welcomed former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair at the Victoria Palace Government House. Blair was in Romania to attend a conference on the future of Europe in the new world order.
Ungureanu told Blair he was happy to see him again.
The conference to be attended by Blair in Bucharest is held by the Multimedia Foundation for Local Democracy and the Center for American Progress.
Also attending the event will be Chairman of the opposition Social Democratic Party (PSD) Victor Ponta.
Among the participants are renowned academics, representatives of the civil society and the media.
Also on Monday, Blair met Ponta at the Bucharest headquarters of the PSD.
Blair was the UK prime minister in 1997-2007.
