Beach football: Romania in the qualifiers for the Tahiti-based World Cup
Romania’s national beach football team got into the F group together with France, the Czech Republic and Estonia after the draw at Terracina (Italy), in the first qualifying round for the World Cup in September 2013 hosted by Tahiti.
Romania was top seed for this stage of the European qualifiers to take place in Moscow between July 1 and 8.
The qualifiers will go on with the play-offs and the winners of the quarterfinals will be divided in two groups out of which the top two of each will advance to the championship.
Apart from the four European states and Tahiti as host, three Asian states, two African, two from the CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football), one from Oceania and three from South America take part in the World Cup.
