„Oslo, August 31” movie, directed by Norwegian Joachim Trier, has won Transylvania Trophy, at TIFF
The film „Oslo, August 31”, by filmmaker Joachim Trier from Norway, won the Transylvania Trophy in the competition for film productions of the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF).
The award offered by the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR), was handed over by famous actress Geraldine Chaplin, during the Closing Gala of the eleventh edition of TIFF, organized at the National Theatre of Cluj-Napoca (north-west).
The Norwegian director also received the Best Screenplay Award. The two prizes will be sent to director Joachim Trier by the film distribution company representative, Laurentiu Merisan.
The feature film „Clip”, produced this year by filmmaker Maja Milos from Serbia, was awarded the Best Director award, offered by the National Center of Cinematography and the prize for the Best Performance went to the Danish actor Kim Kold, for his role in „Teddy Bear” (Denmark, 2012). The Special Jury Prize went to the feature film „Chapiteau Show”, directed by Sergei Loban (Russia, 2011). The Russian filmmaker creation has also received the Audience Award.
The film „From Thursday until Sunday” by Barbara Alvarez (Chile, Netherlands, 2012) is the winner of the Best Image Prize.
British director Paddy Considine was bestowed the Award of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) for the film „Tiranozaur”, made in 2011.
