Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Marga on Monday, June 11, pays an official visit to the State of Kuwait at the invitation of his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, informs the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE).
While on this visit the Romanian chief diplomat will have consultations with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.
According to MAE, the agenda of the talks will focus on the stage of the bilateral relations between Romania and the State of Kuwait, with emphasis on the prospects to turn to account the existing economic opportunities in a number of fields that are of interest for both sides.
At the same time the two officials will survey the political subjects of mutual interest on the regional and international agenda.
At the end of their meeting the two officials will sign the agreement between Romania’s Government and the Government of the State of Kuwait on mutually getting the right to own land for the good functioning of the diplomatic missions and consular offices.
The visit will also include receptions by the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Prime Minister, Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, President of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Ahmed Al-Sadoun and president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the State of Kuwait Ali Al-Ghanem.
Minister Marga will also visit the Al Babtain Library where he will make a donation of books, namely books in bilingual editions in Romanian and Arabic.
