MApN delegation headed by Minister Dobritoiu attends annual South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial
A delegation of the Romanian Ministry of National Defence (MApN), headed by Minister Corneliu Dobritoiu, between October 2 and 4, attends the annual South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial (SEDM), which will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to MApN, the agenda of the meeting includes subjects referring to the stage of the SEDM projects, the activities carried out by the political-military steering committee and the committee coordinating the process of the South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial (SEDM-CC) for this year. They will also examine the stage of the process meant to revise strategically the SEDM and the activities carried out by the South-Eastern Europe Brigade since the last SEDM.
This cooperation process includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, the United States of America, Turkey and Ukraine, and Georgia and the Republic of Moldova are observers.
Romania over 2013-15 will ensure for the second time the chairmanship of the political-military steering committee of the Multinational Peace Force in South-Eastern Europe and of the SEDM-CC, after its mandate in 2001-2003.
