Prime Minister Victor Ponta denied the information circulated in the press, according to which a future reshuffle is aimed at an exchange between the ministries of PSD and PNL, and said that no government reshuffle is needed, going that after (parliamentary elections of) December 9 to form a new government with another structure that will keep some of the current ministers.
„It’s a false information. I do not know who gave it”, said Ponta, about a possible exchange between the ministers of PNL and PSD.
The Premier stressed he plans to propose president Basescu that, as a Premier, he will provide the interim at the Ministry of Health, delegating to the Under Secretary of State Raed Arafat all attributions. According to the PM, if after December 9, Raed Arafat does not want to be minister, he will appoint another minister with a four-year mandate and a very clear strategy.
Also, the Prime Minister denied information according to which Eugen Nicolaescu would take over the Ministry of Health.
„I have not talked with anyone about Nicolaescu – as Minister of Health. When the unforeseen situation with Mr. Cepoi appeared, I considered for the proper functioning of the ministry that, until elections, Mr. Arafat will head the ministry”, Ponta also said, adding that a possible reshuffle of the Minister of Labour, Mariana Campeanu, is nothing but a „rumor”.
