Co-chairman of the Romanian-Russian Inter-Governmental Commission for economic and technical-scientific cooperation, Konstantin Kosatchev spoke to Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Monday, the Russian Embassy in Bucharest confirmed.

‘The talk with Premier Ponta was a brief one and did not target Oltchim (chemical plant) privatisation nor the situation of company Mechel’, a representative for the diplomatic mission said.

The economy minister co-chairs the commission on Romania’s side.

The previous session of the Romanian-Russian Inter-Governmental Commission for economic and technical-scientific cooperation took place in Moscow in last October, four years since its works had been stopped. At that time, the two sides had agreed to meet again in Bucharest in 2012 to assess the manner in which the accords signed in the Russian capital were enforced.
