Company managers estimate declines in construction, trade and services, in first quarter of 2013
Constructions sector will fall in the first quarter of 2013, trade and services are to record a moderate drop and processing industry will have a tendency of relative stability, managers of trading companies estimate, according to a press release from the National Institute of Statistics / INS / .
According to estimations in January 2013, construction activity will record, in the first three months of this year, a decrease in its production volume and in the stock of contracts and orders. Managers estimate a reduction in the number of employees, and as for prices of the construction works a moderate increase is predicted.
Managers in manufacturing industry forecast, for the next three months, a relative stability of the production volume. A growth trend is expected in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.
Industrial products prices are projected to follow a moderate upward trend in the reference period, while the number of employees will be stable.
In the retail trade sector, managers estimate, for the first three months, a trend of moderate decrease in the economic activity and in the total volume of sales. Volume of orders to the suppliers of goods, placed by commercial units, will record a moderate decrease. Employers forecast a stable number of employees, and retail prices increase.
According to estimates in January 2013, the demand for services (turnover) will show a moderate decrease. For the next three months, a moderate decrease of the number of employees is expected. Managers also estimate a tendency of moderate increase of sale or invoice prices.
