Two more music festivals to boost Cluj Napoca’s status of European Youth Capital 2015

Two important music festivals will be organized in Cluj Napoca (northwest of Bucharest) starting this year to boost the city’s activity till 2015, the year when it becomes European Youth Capital.

Cluj-Napoca mayor Emil Boc announced during a news conference, on Wednesday that the Peninsula Festival moves from Targu Mures to Cluj Napoca, where it is due in the Garb Valley area, over July 18-21, while the Delahoya Festival is staged at the same place, starting June 14.

Cluj County Council’s vice-president Vakar Istvan told the same press conference that moving the Peninsula Festival to the capital city of the Ardeal (Transylvanian core province) is amazing and that through the move the city’s visiting card is very much enriched.

According to the Peninsula Festival’s manager Bodor Laszlo, the event attained the peak number of 79,000 visitors, in 2012.
