Estimated GDP for 2012 was over 587.4 billion lei in current prices, rising in real terms by 0.3 percent compared to 2011, according to provisional data published, on Wednesday, by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
On the other hand, the most significant workload reductions were recorded in agriculture, forestry and fishing, respectively 21.2 percent, in industry by 2.1 percent and in the financial brokerage and insurance sector by 0.2 percent.
„The increase was driven significantly by increasing the volume of activity and, in consequence, the gross value added in information and communications (29.4 percent) and in the professional, scientific and technical activities; administrative services and support services (+8.4 percent) „, reads the document.
According to it, the volume of net taxes per product increased by 3.7 percent.
Total final consumption grew by 0.9 percent in 2012 compared to the previous year, both due to increases of 0.6 percent of the final consumption expenditure of households and to the increases by 1.9 percent of the final consumption expenditure of public administrations. Gross fixed capital formation recorded a growth by 4.0 percentage points.
