President Basescu to be in Brussels on Thursday and Friday and attend EPP summit and European Council
President Traian Basescu will leave for Brussels on Thursday, March 14, where he will attend the summit of the European People’s Party (EPP) and the European Council.
According to a release issued by the Presidential Administration, Traian Basescu will attend the EPP summit on Thursday and afterwards will go to the first working session of the meeting of the European Council and the separate working dinner of the heads of state and government.
On Friday the Head of State will take part in the second working session of the meeting of the European Council at the end of which he will make a press statement.
President Traian Basescu will leave for Brussels on Thursday by a Tarom flight, as spokesman for the Head of State Bogdan Oprea confirmed to Agerpres on Wednesday.
So far the President has flown abroad on board a Tarom charter flight as there was no presidential aircraft at his disposal.
