Romania’s Spring Tourism Fair , organized from March 14 to 17, 2013, is expecting 35,000 visitors and sales of about 12 million euros, according to a press release of Romexpo exhibitions center.
During the four days of exhibition, visitors will be greeted by the participating companies with a wide range of offers for adventure tourism, cruises, exotic holidays, proposals for „city breaks”, vacations in the country, cultural tours, but also flight or travel insurance. The presented offers will include discounts of around 30 percent.
The fair will host 275 participating companies, including 180 from Romania and 75 from abroad. The event will also enjoy the presence of 12 organizations and institutions for promotion of tourism regions in Romania – Maramures, Iasi, Suceava, Dambovita, Tulcea, Buzau, Alba, Hunedoara, Black Seaside, Amara, Herculane Baths, along with eight official participations from Bulgaria, Turkey, Croatia, Serbia, Tunisia, Cyprus, Republic of Moldova, the Regional Tourism Authority of Greece.
„The six days of vacation, approved following a government decision, for the period May 1 to 6, will increase the number of tourists in the Romanian seaside resorts, where over 40,000 are expected, especially in Mamaia, Vama Veche and 2 Mai resorts”, said Corina Martin, president of ANAT.
