Romania has become, as of Thursday, the 54th country to have the famous YouTube video platform available in Romanian language, occasion for the local advertising companies and agencies to be able to address the target audience through some innovative models of video commercials.
Thus, as of April 25, YouTube Romania will allow local creators of video content to be more easily found, both in Romania, as well as in the whole world. Also, local companies are able to use the portal as a means of promotion, to reach the intended audience. In addition, the YouTube Partner Program in Romania will provide a way for all content producers, large and small, to make money from uploaded videos.
„Numerous members of the global YouTube community are already viewing Romanian content. Launch of the local YouTube version opens new opportunities for talented creators in the country, they could be more easily discovered, both in Romania and anywhere in the world. Thus, users will have easier access to quality content – „Made in Romania”. Digital content can be anything, from a music video clip with Smiley in a concert, to a very short video about how to do your tie knot, which is important and relevant to users”, said on Thursday, in the conference for YouTube Romania launch, the country manager of Google, Dan Bulucea.
Basically, Romanian musicians and composers (representatives of the Union of Composers and Musicologists of Romania – the Association for Copyright, UCMR-ADA) and YouTube have announced an agreement for licensing that will allow artists to obtain revenues from their videos viewing on the video platform. Also, record houses Roton, Cat Music, HaHaHa Production, MediaPro Music, but also TVR, decided to publish on YouTube their own content.
