NATO Secretary General, to have talks with Romanian President, PM and Defence and Foreign Ministers
North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will pay an official visit to Romania on the days of May 23 and 24, at the invitation of President Traian Basescu, the Presidential Administration informs.
According to a Presidency release, Rasmussen’s agenda on Friday, May 24, includes official talks with Foreign Affairs Minister Titus Corlatean, and with National Defence Minister Mircea Dusa.
NATO’s Secretary General will have official talks with Prime Minister Victor Ponta at Victoria Palace, on Friday.
After the official talks between Rasmussen and President Basescu, the two will make a joint press statement.
According to the Presidency, an official lunch will be offered by Romania’s President, at Cotroceni Palace.
On Friday, also, NATO’s Secretary General will participate in the ceremony of granting the University of Bucharest ‘Doctor Honoris Causa’ degree.
