The EU Commission (EC) will present a verbal report on Romania and Bulgaria, during the Mechanism for Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (MCV) proceedings, on July 8, EC spokesman Mark Gray told.
The report is presented by the services of the EU Commission General Secretariat, in the MCV working group of the EU Council. We make the presentation every six months, in compliance with the pledge we took through the MCV report, to inform the Council about the developments in Romania and Bulgaria, said Mark Gray.
The last report on the progress Romania scored in MCV was presented by the EU Commission, on January 30 and it was an additional; document on Romania only, after the political crisis in Bucharest, last summer.
The EU Commission specified when it issued the additional MCV report in Jan. that the next report on Romania’s progress in justice reform and combating corruption is due in Dec, this year concomitantly with the report on Bulgaria.
