Minister for Foreign Affairs Titus Corlatean is paying an official visit to South Korea, on Thursday and Friday, at the invitation of his South Korean counterpart Yun Byung-se Romania’s Foreign Ministry (MAE) informs.
The visit’s agenda schedules meetings with Korea’s Prime Minister Chung Hong-won, Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se and the vice-president of the National Assembly Lee Byung-suk.
According to MAE, Romania’s honorary Consulate in Daejeon will be inaugurated in the presence of Romania’s top diplomat.
Likewise, ForMin Titus Corlatean will meet with representatives of the South Korean business environment, and will visit the Hankuk University of International Studies, having Chair of Romanian Language and Literature.
‘The visit’s main goal is the continuation of the political dialogue viewing the steady development of the bilateral ties in fields such as economy, culture, science and technology, in the spirit of the provisions of the Statement on the Strategic Partnership and the joint Action Plan between Romania and South Korea,’ the MAE release also says.
ForMin Corlatean’s visit to South Korea is aimed at creating opportunities for boosting and streamlining the South Korean investments in the Romanian economy, the AE release concluded.(Agenţia Naţională de Presă AGERPRES)
