The General Assembly of the International Ski Federation (FIS), held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, has granted Romania the right to organize a Ski Jumping World Cup stage.

The official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports informs that the competition will be held in the first week after the Winter Olympics in Sochi, scheduled for February 28 – March 2, 2014.

The stage to be hosted by Romania will take place in Rasnov (the central county of Brasov) on March 1 – 2, 2014.

The FIS decision was taken following Romania’s successful hosting of the European Youth Olympic Festival, which was held in Brasov, February 17-22, 2013.
