Victor Ponta: We have established an ambitious calendar of bilateral relations between Romania and Spain
The Romanian Prime Minister, Victor Ponta, said on Monday, in Madrid, that together with his Spanish counterpart Mariano Rajoy have set an ambitious timetable for the bilateral relations and stressed that there are many projects in many areas that will be put into practice.
„We have set an ambitious timetable of bilateral relations. (…) Spain has in Romania an extremely determined ally in what concerns the European policy of economic growth, of jobs creation”, said Victor Ponta in a joint press conference with the President of the Council of Ministers of Spain.
The head of the Government in Bucharest pointed out that Romania and Spain have many joint economic projects and reminded that a 14 percent increase was recorded by the trade relations since year-start.
„I assured President Rajoy about the fact that all important projects in which the Spanish companies operating in Romania are involved are projects to which the Government I head gives all attention”, Ponta said.
According to the Romanian Prime Minister, Spain is a completely and totally special country for Romania, because nearly one million Romanians are living and working in this country.
