The 4th edition of the Medieval Festival ‘Fortresses’ Tournament’ will officially open on August 3 in Bran (Brasov County, central Romania), on the ‘Queen Mary’s Heart’ Plateau, and it will continue in the Fagaras Citadel, on August 11 and 12, and in the Sfatului Square in Brasov, on August 24 and 25.
Knights, maidens, craftsmen, medieval music shows, sword fights, are only a few surprised prepared by the organisers.
The ‘Foretresses’ Tournament’ will start on Saturday in Bran with the knights’ and maidens’ parade and it will continue with concerts of medieval music, theatre plays for children and horse shows.
On Sunday, the festival will continue with the medieval parade, with medieval music concerts, theatre plays for children, horse shows and it will end at 10:00 pm with a concert of medieval music.
The executive director of the Association for Tourism Promotion and Development Brasov (APDT), Ionut Gliga, told Agerpres that this festival is very important being meant at attracting a large number of tourists in the Brasov County.
