Romania’s Alexandru Nicolau has won the 4th round of the Belluno world cup parachuting contest in Italy, the junior category, currently ranking 3rd in the overall ranking, two contests before the close of the season.
Nicolau scored 13 points in seven jumps – 03, 01, 04, 00, 00, 02, 03 – tied in with Italy’s Luigi Pinchieri. Having the same score, the two climbed the highest step of the podium at Belluno, a traditional meeting ground for parachuting aficionados in the Dolomites Alpes.
After four rounds, Nicolau is now 3rd in the overall junior ranking, with 242 points. The next legs of the world cup are scheduled for September 6-8 at Thalgau, Austria and for September 27-27 in Lucarno, Switzerland.
