The privatisation contract for CFR Marfa will be signed next week, Prime Minister Victor Ponta said in the beginning of the Government meeting on Tuesday.
‘Welcome to the Government to Mrs Manescu [Transports Minister] and success in the management of a difficult ministry. Certainly, this week you will document on everything that concerns CFR Marfa and the contract will be signed next week and the implementing manner will be supervised. You will take over all the other things on the way,’ Ponta said.
Grup Feroviar Roman (GFR) company on June 20, 2013, was declared winner of the competition for the privatisation of CFR Marfa.
The Government Resolution for the approval of the main conditions of the contract on the sale of the 51 percent package of the CFR Marfa shares, between the state, through the Transports Ministry, and Grup Feroviar Roman company, was released on August 14 in the Official Gazette.
According to the law, the privatisation process must be finalised in 60 calendar days since the date of the resolution coming into force, on the contrary the contract will be cancelled by full right, without a necessary postponement, without any other previous formality and without the intervention of the court.
